Golden Circle, Day Tour
We start the day by a visit of the geothermal powerplant at Nesjavellir, producing both hot water for heating the houses of Reykjavik and also electricity for the citisens. Then we drive along the beautiful lakeside road of Þingvallavatn before coming to the historically and geographically remarkable place National Park Thingvellir. We drive to the beautiful site Skalholt with its impressive church and with a possibliity of a private organ concert in this best house of accoustic in Iceland. Possibility of a lunch here, terrific Artic Char fillets.
After lunch we drive to a very interesting green house, growing oriental flowers to visit it and taste a schnapps in cucumber-‘glasses’;. Then on to the famous sights Gullfoss waterfalls and the hot spring Geysir. We return to your accommodation in Reykjavik in the evening.
