We start the day with a visit to the geothermal powerplant at Nesjavellir, which is producing both hot water for heating the houses of Reykjavik and also electricity for the citisens. Then we drive along the beautiful lakeside road of Þingvallavatn before coming to the historically and geographically remarkable place National Park Thingvellir. We drive to the beautiful site Skalholt with its impressive church and with a possiblity of a private organ concert in this best house of accoustic in Iceland. Possibility of a lunch here, terrific Artic Char fillets. After lunch we drive to a very interesting neighbores green house, growing oriental flowers to visit it and taste a schnapps in cucumber-‘glasses'. Then on to the famous sights Gullfoss waterfalls and the hot spring Geysir.
This tour can be operated in small groups with Super van or as a guided self drive tour for those who like to experience to drive a Super Jeep. Depending on what the group likes.
Optional: Thereafter we drive down to the coastline for a lobster dinner at either the lobster restaurant Fjöruborðið or Rauðahúsið. We take you back to your accommodation in Reykjavik.
