Our professional driver guide meets you at in the afternoon at the International Airport in Keflavik. From here we head to South Iceland, more precisely, to the horse farm Hestheimar. Here we will stay the following 6 nights. We enjoy a delicious dinner and visit the horses of the farm before we relax in the hotpot. |

|
This morning weg et an introduction to the Icelandic horse. Here inside the riding hall we have the first hours of practise. What we have learned we will try out in the surroundings of the farm. After lunch we have the option for a hike in the surroundings or we simply relax on the farm. Before dinner we relax in the hotpot. In the evening we watch a documentary about the Icelandic horse. |

Tuesday: Hekla area and Hestheimar |

We take our vehicle and drive as far as possible towards the vulcano Hekla and in the beautiful valley Thjorsá. With our especially equipped vehicle we even try to get to the Viking farm Stöng and the fairytale gorge Gjáin. Here we listen to old sagas which are connected to this area. In the afternoon we go on a horse riding tour to get really familiar with the Icelandic horse. |

Wednesday: Horse Riding Center and Hestheimar |

|
After breakfast we head east to visit the remarkable waterfalls Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss. Here we find as well the old folk museum from Skógar. On the way we visit a training center for Icelandic horses and learn about training of the horses, competitions, breeding and export. In the evening we can go on a short optional riding tour. |

|
Today we go horse riding the whole day through the winter landscape. Before dinner we enjoy our warm hotpot again. After the dinner we listen to some old ghost stories and sagas of the surrounding. |

Friday: Golden Circle |
26.02.2010 |
|
In the morning we take our car and visit the famous Golden Circle. On our way we visit the sights of waterfall Gullfoss, Geysir area and the remarkable Thingvellir National Park. In the afternoon we go on a horse riding trip and receive our riding certificates at the end of the evening. |

27.02.2010 |
|
In the morning we go on a final riding tour and see how much we have learned. After lunch we return to Reykjavik. Here we go on city tour and have time in the afternoon and evening to discover our small capital. |
