We now offer an extended version of the popular Advance Photo Tour that gives you the chance to spend even more time photographing the stunning nature in the Icelandic highlands. You will also spend more time in close contact to Vatnajökull glacier, taking a boat tour on the Glacier Lagoon and a glacier hike. Your guide Haukur Snorrason, professional guide and photographer, will take you around his favourite places while his wife Hadda will host you at their accommodation at Hrífunes Cottages. This does not get more personal than this.

The Advanced Photo Tour is guided by the well known photographer Haukur Snorrason. The tour focuses on the highland area called Fjallabak, an area which is a "fiesta" for the camera. We stay at Haukur´s private cottage which is located next to the Fjallabak highland area. Haukur will show you around his favorite spots in the highlands north of Mýrdalsjökull-glacier and along the beautiful south coast of Iceland.

Ever more people are bringing their own vehicles to Iceland to explore the country. However, this makes it more difficult for them to have guided tours around the island. That is, until now! The“4x4 Expedition in Iceland” allows 4x4 owners to travel around the Icelandic highlands with a local guide in the comfort of their own 4x4 vehicle. Choose between a three, seven or ten days option (see itinerary for more details).

Lead by a professional driver guide in a highly modified ISAK Land Rover Defender (38“ tyres, VHF Radio, Air compressor and Snorkel). For those who do not have their own 4x4 and wish to join the tour then you have the option to rent a modified ISAK Superjeep through Isafold Travel. Accommodation during the tour will be on camping sites, either with roof tents, sleeping in the car or in a tent. Tents can be rented from Isafold Travel. Isafold Travel arranges a kitchen tent with necessary equipment for the participants to use for cooking and creating a "camp fire" atmosphere at night. Meals are prepared cooperatively. Communication on the tour is through CB-Radio and the guide will educate you about the country, the nature and people along with tips on driving your 4x4 around Iceland.
