Jón Baldur Þorbjörnsson

Jón Baldur graduated as an automotive engineer (Dipl.-Ing. FH) 1986 in Munich, Germany. He was employed for a time as technical manager for the Icelandic authorities, by the Automobile Inspection Company. However traveling has always been Jón Baldur's true passion, so in 1997 he decided to make use of his knowledge in various foreign languages, tour guide experience and knowledge of vehicles to establish Isafold Travel. He now enjoys the ever-changing atmosphere of the travel industry, especially the interesting variety of travelers who visit Iceland and the unpredictable, never boring Icelandic weather!

Ásgeir Eiríksson

Ásgeir is the manager of Isafold Travel. He graduated from the University of Uppsala in Sweden in 1979 in Business Administration. 30 years later he graduated with his masters degree (MBA) from The University of Iceland. Ásgeir is also a licenced tour guide and has been guiding paralell to his various tasks during the past 10 years. His guiding languages are Swedish and English along with some basic skills in German. During the past few years Ásgeir is working full time within the tourism industry and enjoys every single moment of it!

  Sigfús Sigfússon

Sigfús works part time at Isafold. "Fusi" has long experience in the tourism industry and has been engaged in the airline as well as in the car rental business. His work here at Isafold Travel is concentrating around the super jeep self drive cars.

  Auðbjörg Bergsveinsdóttir

Auja takes care of Isafold Travel’s finances as the accountant of Isafold Travel. She has education as a technical designer and worked with renowned architects in Reykjavik. Later she graduated as a ceramicist from the Icelandic Academy of Arts. Along with several artist colleagues she runs the studio ‘Skruggusteinn’ in Kopavogur.

    Hildur Ágústsdóttir

Hildur works as a travel consultant at Isafold Travel. She has a Swiss Higher Diploma in Hotel Management and a 12 year diverse experience in the Tourism business in Iceland, Switzerland and Australia. In her free time she likes to travel around Iceland and do all kinds of outdoor activities.

   Halla Jónsdóttir

Halla is the daughter of Auja and Jón Baldur and works next to her business studies for Isafold Travel. She handles tour requests as well as operational tour preparations. Besides her work for Isafold she is engaged at the Icelandic rescue team.

   Þröstur Valdimarsson

Thröstur is the keen auto mechanic, who after twenty five years of experience knows exactly what service cars need to run without unexpected stops. He is fond of preventive maintenance, knowing the saying of Timken –the bearing producer: “pay now, or pay more later”! In his freetime Thröstur enjoys flying his ultra-light plane.

  Hildur Hermannsdóttir

Hildur works as a travel consultant at Isafold Travel. She has a Master degree in Marketing and International Businesses from the University of Iceland. Hildur took her Bachelor degree in International Tourism Management and Consultancy from NHTV in Holland. In her free time she likes to hike in the Icelandic nature.
