The company is owned by the couple Jón Baldur Þorbjörnsson and Auðbjörg Bergsveinsdóttir along with three other partners: Asgeir Eiriksson, Sigfus Sigfusson and Thomas Möller.

Jón Baldur graduated as an automotive engineer (Dipl.-Ing. FH) 1986 in Munich, Germany. He was employed for a time as technical manager for the Icelandic authorities, by the Automobile Inspection Company. However traveling has always been Jón Baldur's true passion, so in 1997 he decided to make use of his knowledge in various foreign languages, tour guide experience and knowledge of vehicles to establish Isafold Travel. He now enjoys the ever-changing atmosphere of the travel industry, especially the interesting variety of travelers who visit Iceland and the unpredictable, never boring Icelandic weather! |

Auðbjörg Bergsveinsdóttir |

Auja takes care of Isafold Travel's finances as the accountant of Isafold Travel. She has education as a technical designer and worked with renowned architects in Reykjavik. Later she graduated as a ceramicist from the Icelandic Academy of Arts. Along with several artist colleagues she runs the studio ‘Skruggusteinn' in Kopavogur. |

...or just Benni. Benni is one of the lads of the garage of Isafold Travel and Isak-4x4 Rental who cares for and keeps the vehicles of the companies running. Benni is a tough guy, able to deal with every situation, which is no wonder after having been serving at the Icelandic peace troops in Middle-Asia. Speaking of serving, Benni has is beneath his craftmanship as a machinist also been working as a waiter in resturants. |

Gunni, like we call him, manages the daily operations of the somewhat special 4x4 rental and sister company of Isafold Travel, Isak Ltd. There he is actually taking care of everything, the customers‘ correspondence, filling in the papers and cleaning and clearing the cars together with the other lads in the garage. No wonder, he is a kind of „man of all seasons“, has learned the trade of baker, then later on finished a study of business-philosophy together with jumping now and then abord of a trawler to catch the cod in the waters of Iceland. |

Halla Jónsdóttir |

Halla is the older daughter of Auja and Jón Baldur. In the beginning of the year 2011 she graduated with a diploma from in the business faculty of the University of Reykjavik. After having worked part time for Isafold Travel for some 5 years, she‘s now coming in as a full time employee and will be the sales manager together with taking care of tour requests, as most of the staff of the office. Halla loves the out dooring, is an enthusiastic skier, and is furthermore active in the voluntary rescue troops of Iceland. |

Hildur Ágústsdóttir |

Hildur works as a travel consultant and operational manager at Isafold Travel. She has a Swiss Higher Diploma in Hotel Management and a 12 year diverse experience in the Tourism business in Iceland, Switzerland and Australia. In her free time she likes to travel around Iceland and do all kinds of outdoor activities.

Hildur works as a travel consultant and marketing manager at Isafold Travel. She has a Master degree in Marketing and International Businesses from the University of Iceland. Hildur took her Bachelor degree in International Tourism Management and Consultancy from NHTV in the Netherlands. In her free time she likes to hike in the Icelandic nature. |

Þröstur Valdimarsson |

Thröstur is the keen auto mechanic, who after twenty five years of experience knows exactly what service cars need to run without unexpected stops. He is fond of preventive maintenance, knowing the saying of Timken –the bearing producer: “pay now, or pay more later”! In his freetime Thröstur enjoys flying his ultra-light plane. |
