Our environment

Isafold Travel cares for the nature and does its utmost to minimize the impact of traveling on the environment. Where possible we prefer or recommend healthy physical motion instead of machines.

To reduce the impact of our vehicles we teamed up with the Icelandic Carbon Fund „Kolvidur“. For every driven kilometer Isafold Travel supports this company with it´s ongoing projects here in Iceland. Icelandic Carbon Fund Kolvidur (www.kolvidur.is), was founded by the Icelandic Forestry Association and the Icelandic Environment Association with the goal to reduce the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere by sequestering carbon in vegetation and soils.

The future goal of Isafold Travel is to make tourism in Iceland more sustainable, as well as to raise public awarness by travellers and the general public regarding cleaner fuels for future generations.
