Isafold receives web award

Last Friday (30.01.2009) the association of the Icelandic web industry awarded Isafold Travel with "The brightest hope" award 2008. See below what the jury had to say about our website (translation from Icelandic):

The website "The Brightest Hope" is an extremely ambitious web. The design is beautiful, practical and has a good layout. All the text is well written, which might be considered as normal by the other webs nominated for these awards. But the jury paid a special attention to this, since the company, we're speaking of, is small and participating in a trade, which up to now has not been especially known for much effort regarding web design, although this trade relies on international marketing.  As a marketing device the website is really a success.  It appeals to its target group in a genial way, goes even so far to recommend its users not to contact the company in certain cases. All in all here has been created a web of trustworthiness, which is essential for a company in the travel business. In this website you can read about the tours offered by the tour operator, its staff and the gear recommended on tours, making the jury wanting to go on a tour. The "Brightest Hope 2008" is the website of Isafold Travel.

To be honest - we are really proud about our little award standing all shiney in one of our shelves here at the office. Yesterday, as an act of celebration we were even ordering two unhealthy pizzas for lunch.

Our work on the web is surely not finished. We are currently working on the German and Icelandic translation of the website. We will also develop the website further in a way that our services become still more transparent to all our customers.

We especially like to thank our friend and photographer Haukur Snorrason who made the website with his photos so appealing that we even like to browse it ourselves!
