Everything was perfect..
Hi Hildur,
I just wanted to say how very happy I was with the arrangements for the two trips this year - everything was perfect - the hotels, restaurants, guides - particularly how you were able to adapt when I wanted to change the second week - much appreciated and I'm very grateful. My clients were all very happy and left Iceland wanting to come back and visit again - always a good sign! Thank you - Isafold are the best!

Wonderful celebration trip..

Tremendous time in Iceland..
Hildur
We had a tremendous time in Iceland despite the unfortunate absence of the aurora. All the arrangements went well and Helgi, our guide, was extremely good. He was enormously knowledgeable and kept us informed about what we were seeing. He was ideal for us.
The good variety of locations and sights to see gave us a taste of Iceland and its geology. The travel by 4 x 4 vehicles made the trip fun and the frequent stops to get out and do some activity rather than sitting and standing only kept the students busy.
Accommodation was just right and the meals were enjoyed by the students.

He picked the perfect spot
Hi Hildur,
Thank you for your assistance is planning the private daytour for us. After a very anxious start we had a marvelous time.
The driver was wonderful, very accommodating and we got to see and do everything we had hoped for. My highlight was going in the Blue Lagoon. For the others it was when Jerry pulled off the road so we could get pictures of the horses. He picked the perfect spot. The horses ran up to the fence and one even smiled for our pictures. It was an exciting day and everyone said the best shore excursion of the cruise.
Thanks again and I will not hesitate to recommend Isafold in the future.

It is never late to thank for all of your tremendous efforts made on the Advanced Photo Tour. We enjoyed this tour very much, an excellent experience. The area we have visited are spectacular.
Greatly appreciate Haukur and Hadda as they are working hard to make this tour successful. As a photo tour guide, Haukur is professional and so knowledgeable about the area, making a flexible change during the tour when needed. Hadda's cuisine is excellent, the food she prepared are delicious and gives us surprise everyday. About the accommodation, it is comfortable to stay in the farmhouse Hrifunes where surrounded by stunning views.
In general, this tour is good for the discovery of southern interior in Iceland. There are a lot of stunning sites worth spending much more time, even staying overnight on field, for a deeper exploration. We hope your company will launch a “Super Advanced Photo tour” with a bit longer duration in future.

Our trip was outstanding...
Hi Hildur,
My wife Jessica and I returned to Toronto from Iceland last night, and we just wanted to let you know that our trip was outstanding. We are fortunate in that we are able to travel extensively, and I’m happy to let you know that our Laugavegur hike was one of the best travel experiences we have ever had.
Raggi and Þrowen were excellent guides and they were very knowledgeable about Iceland in general and this part of the country in particular. It’s obvious they enjoy their work, and their enthusiasm was infectious. They’re also good guys to be around, and we really enjoyed having them along for the ride!
We don’t generally take guided tours and usually travel on our own schedule, but this is one trip (and two guides) that we would enthusiastically recommend to any family or friends who were looking to take an active holiday.
Thanks again for organizing the trip for us, and until we are able to return to Iceland, all the best!

Due to the recent world-wide financial crisis, when Iceland was leading the bad news in Europe, my colleagues were sure that I'm out of my mind to pick Iceland as our coming target. You did an delicate job in keeping my friend's confidence in Isafold, with lot of patience and despite the general negative atmosphere . We appreciate all of you very much. Helgy is a precious asset for you and for eager and open-minded travelers like us . We hope that he enjoyed our company as we enjoyed his.

The ISAK cars were perfect. Our guide Hinrik was perfect. Our cook Helmut was perfect. The organization was perfect. The weather was typical Icelandic..

Excitement of snow drifts and farmer's rescues.....
We are all back in North Carolina, safe and sound and we had a really wonderful time in Iceland. The excitement of snow drifts and farmer's rescues under the Northern Lights was just the right sort of surprise to make this trip memorable for a group of 17 year-old. Niels was a wonderful guide and the students had such a hard time saying goodbye to him at the airport that we nearly missed our flight. Dear Jón, Henry and Throstur (the world's best bus driver !) I just wanted to thank you all (and everyone else from Isafold Travel who had a hand in organising our tour) on behalf of 11 crazy Australian's and 2 silly New Zealander's. We had an absolutely incredible weekend in Iceland. Your country is absolutely amazing and has so much to offer visitors of all ages, but what makes it so special are the people who live there (and the food !) A very special thank you goes to Throstur, who really did go over and beyond during our stay, lending one of the girls a pair of crutches after she injured herself out clubbing. He even carried her from the bus so that she could see the Gulfoss waterfalls and the Kerid crater. He also gave us the BEST hot chocolate ever to help ease the pain after the Northern Lights decided to keep a low profile. We can't thank Throstur enough for his kindness, it was he who made our experience so special. We had an amazing break this weekend and loved every minute of our tour. Not one person wanted to fly back to London yesterday, we would have all stayed forever only Throstur said there wasn't enough room at his house for all of us. ;) Thank you again for everything. I can't tell you how much fun we had this weekend but you can be sure that we will all be returning to Iceland some day soon and we all have Isafold Travel's contact details. I will be recommending your company to anyone I know of who is planning on visiting Iceland in the future.

Just a few words of thanks following our Tour Iceland Break. We are three couples whose combined years of married life add up to 100Years. We wanted to do something special to celebrate the occasion and you gave us just that. The tour ran smoothly with no buts other than one of our party loosing a suitcase on the way to Iceland. We saw a huge variety of sites and landscapes and all our accommodation and meals were very good. Our guide Petur Gauti was professional, knowledgable, pleasant and helpful, doing his best to find out any information of the lost suitcase. We were particularly impressed when on our last day, in poor weather on the south side of the Snaefellsnes penninsular he took us to the north side where we found good weather, picniced on the beach and then within the hour had a snowball fight on a mountain, what a contrast

Our family had a marvelous 10 days in Ísland! From the moment we stepped out of the terminal in Keflavik and you told us about the "hatching Concord" and the Rainbow sculptures until the moment you left us there 10 days later and recounted one last saga, we were steeped in the culture, geography, history and people of your incredible country. Even our teen-aged son admits to having had a superb time! Having both yourself and Niels as driver-guides was indeed a treat. It was obvious that you both have a great love for the land. You both had so many facts and figures at your fingertips as well as many stories and sagas which brought history to life. Your interest in and knowledge of many other topics always led to excellent conversations. When our trip was over and we had to say good bye to each of you, we felt we were saying good bye to family.

It was wonderful. I'd never done a tour before, so I didn't know what to expect. The Nicholsons (the couple from N. Carolina) were excellent touring companions, and our guides, Sigurgeir and Hlina from Isafold were great. There was indeed a storm the day I arrived, and we couldn't keep to our itinerary, but the alternative arrangements worked out very well. The weather the rest of our trip was abnormally excellent. I'm extremely pleased with the whole experience, and I want to go back. Many thanks
